Who we are

Hope’s Transport Express Independent Living is a shared Housing Program. We believe in more than just housing, we believe in transformation. With multiple locations in the heart of Washington, our mission is to provide a bridge to stability and new beginnings . Our shared housing provides structure, accountability safety and most importantly community.

Our community is designed for adults who are ready to rebuild and thrive: seniors on fixed incomes, veterans transitioning to civilian life, individuals returning from incarceration, and those in recovery from substance use. We provide safe, comfortable, and well-managed homes with the structure and respect you deserve — not as a facility, but as a community of possibility.

Our value

  • A homeless man is sitting on the wet sidewalk with a cardboard sign that reads 'HOMELESS!!' and messages thanking donors and asking for prayers. A person is kneeling in front of him, holding a ginger cat, while the man reaches out towards the cat. There are a plastic container, a cup, and a water bottle on the ground nearby.

    Compassion

We treat every resident with dignity, empathy, and respect.

  • A shadow of a hand with fingers shaping a roof over a small paper house on a dark surface with a background wall.

    Safety

A drug-free, secure environment where residents can thrive

  • Large red billboard with white text that says "Community is Strength." Below it, smaller white text says "Be strong. Let's look out for one another." The billboard is mounted on a building with large windows and brick facade, with cloudy sky in the background.

    Community

Shared spaces and shared responsibility build lasting bonds.

  • A group of diverse friends clinking glasses filled with white wine during a celebration or gathering in a cozy living room with large green plant and a red sofa.

    Inclusivity

We welcome all backgrounds. Hablamos Español.

Our Approach

Our program is built on four core pillars: structure, accountability, safety, and community. Each resident signs a clear program agreement that outlines shared expectations, including maintaining a clean living space, respecting quiet hours, and contributing positively to the home environment.

On site management helps ensure the home operates smoothly, responds to maintenance needs, and provides consistent support when needed. Residents also have access to connections within the local community, including employment assistance, healthcare services, counseling, and other essential resources.

We believe that with the right structure, support, and environment, every individual can take meaningful steps toward lasting independence and long term stability.

Hablamos Español
